Week of 11/12/18 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 11/12/2018 to 11/19/2018:

 

11/13/2018 - Edward Groves, 48 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000313

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

 

11/14/2018 - Chad Bucher Himes, 18 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000251

Convicted of Attempted Burglary, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 / 2911.12(A)(3) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 30 days. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Electronic Home Monitoring: 30 days.
