Week of 11/28/16 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 11/28/2016 to 12/5/2016:

11/30/2016 - Brian Keith Johnson, 38 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000254

Convicted of Trafficking in Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: $1032.00 forfeit, to costs and balance to Medway. Convicted of Rape, F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.02(A)(1)(b). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of Life Imprisonment with Parole Eligibility at 10 years. The judge ordered: Credit for 290 days jail time served. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Sex Offender Registration: Tier 3; PRC Notification Given.
