Week of 11/6/17 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.

Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 11/6/2017 to 11/13/2017:

 

11/7/2017 - Anthony Miguel White, 21 year old male from Cleveland - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000128

Convicted of Having Weapons While Under Disability, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.13(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge

Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $750.00. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

11/7/2017 - Alexander Roy Avery, 30 year old male from AKRON - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000252

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a

term of incarceration of 6 months and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years. Additionally the following conditions were

imposed: Random Drug Testing.

 

11/8/2017 - Matthew Joseph Norman, 18 year old male from West Salem - Case No. 2014 CRC-I 000331 - Probation

Violation Sentence

Convicted of Breaking and Entering, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.13(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to

the following conditions: Community control terminated; court costs still due.

 

11/8/2017 - David C. Armbrust, 29 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2014 CRC-I 000184 - Probation Violation

Sentence

Convicted of Trafficking in Cocaine, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1) and 5 additional counts. Sentenced by

Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 120 days. The judge ordered: Community control terminated.

Credit for 28 days jail time served (of 120-day jail sentence)

 

11/8/2017 - Lucas D. Stewart, 34 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000269 - Probation Violation

Sentence

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to the

following conditions: Community control continued and extended one year.

Defendant shall be held in custody pending SRCCC admission and resolution of Medina County indictment. Additionally the

following conditions were imposed: Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4

- 6 months): SRCCC.
