Week of 4/11/16 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 4/11/2016 to 4/18/2016:

 

4/12/2016 - Shane Allen Ward, Jr., 38 year old male from Doylestown - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000056

Convicted of Attempted Illegal Assembly or Possession Of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 / 2925.041(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 6 months.

 

4/13/2016 - Randy Lee Harmon, 30 year old male from Rittman - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000011

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year. The judge ordered: Sentence shall run concurrently with prison sentence being served pursuant to sentence of Summit County Common Pleas Court.

Court costs waived.

 

4/13/2016 - Michael S. Eagle, 24 year old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000032

Convicted of Arson, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2909.03(A)(1) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K.Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 6 months. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: 9700

restitution.

 

4/13/2016 - David A. Stentz, 53 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000004

Convicted of Attempted Illegal Assembly or Possession Of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 / 2925.041(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  The judge ordered: No sudafederine purchases. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program.

 

4/13/2016 - James Earl Jones, II, 31 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2015 CRC-I 000335

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a driver's license suspension for 6 months.
