Week of 4/16/18 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 4/16/2018 to 4/23/2018:

                                               

4/17/2018 - Zackariah Anderson, 25 year old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000413

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Drug Court if appropriate.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug /Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

4/17/2018 - Antoine L. Peden, 32 year old male from Chicago - Case No. 0096-11-CR

Convicted of Trafficking, F5, 2925.03(A)(1) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 5 months. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

 

4/17/2018 - Anthony Hochstetler, 21 year old male from Fredericksburg - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000439

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 10 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a fine of $375.00. The judge ordered: Credit for 10 days jail time served.   Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

4/17/2018 - Jacqueline Sherrod, 24 year old female from Wooster - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000417

Convicted of Aggravated Menacing, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.21(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 60 days. The judge ordered: Time for each count to run concurrent to each other, but consecutively to her other cases she is currently serving time for in Municipal Court. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

4/18/2018 - Christopher Deem, 21 year old male from KENMORE - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000065

Convicted of Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1) and 2 additional counts.  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 5 months and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: $308.86 to John Chuhi.; PRC Notification Given.

 

4/18/2018 - Ryan Guthrie, 28 year old male from SHELBY - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000479

Convicted of Theft, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed:

4/18/2018 - John C. Chargualaf, 46 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000482

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

 

4/18/2018 - Robert C. Malone, 27 year old male from Canton - Case No. 0015-14-(CR)

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years. 4/18/2018 - Shawn Dewayne Hedrick, 31 year old male from DALTON - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000016

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.
