Week of 4/2/18 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 4/2/2018 to 4/9/2018:

 

4/3/2018 - William James Brancheck-Harding, 24 year old male from West Salem - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000089

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to:

a term of incarceration of 6 months and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years.

 

4/4/2018 - James Simpson, 39 year old male from Orrville - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000050

Convicted of Possession of Cocaine, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to:

Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; No Contact with Toni Roberts; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program.

 

4/4/2018 - Danny L. Roberts, 40 year old male from Lodi - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000024

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: 

Time suspended on the condition that the Defendant provide a proper apology to the Defendant's son. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Pay Restitution: 1871.50.

 

4/4/2018 - Douglas Kirtley, 30 year old male from Smithville - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000494

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Fentanyl), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to:

Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year. The judge ordered: Comply with all conditions of community control with Summit County.  Probation will be transferred to Summit County. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer.
