Week of 5/01/17 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 5/1/2017 to 5/8/2017:

 

5/2/2017 - Tontre Jashon Simpson, 22 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000089 - Judicial Release Sentence

Convicted of Burglary, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Re-Entry Program.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group; Participate in Day Reporting Program.

 

5/3/2017 - Braxxton Tyler Love, 23 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000337

Convicted of Importuning, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.07(B)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 2 months (with 10 months suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Maintain court ordered child support.  Sex Offender Special Rules. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Sex Offender Registration: Tier I; Wayne County Jail: Serve 60 Days; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

5/1/2017 - Timothy Palmer, 25 year old male from Orrville - Case No. 2015 CRC-I 000333

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to:  Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Complete SRCCC and any after-care program.  Defendant to be held in Holmes Co Jail until a bed at SRCCC becomes available. Costs and probation fee are waived.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program.

 

5/1/2017 - Kosta L. Josefov, 57 year old male from RITTMAN - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000033

Convicted of Attempted Aggravated Possession of Drugs, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 / 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $250.00. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

5/3/2017 - Jesse J. Siedel, 28 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 0365-13-CR - Probation Violation Sentence

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1) and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 60 days. The judge ordered: Community control terminated unsuccessfully.

 

5/3/2017 - Jesse J. Siedel, 26 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 0132-12-CR - Probation Violation Sentence

Convicted of Attempted Aggravated Trafficking, F5, 2923.02 / 2925.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 60 days. The judge ordered: Community control terminated unsuccessfully.

 

5/3/2017 - Maricella E. Weaver, 23 year old female from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000186 - Probation Violation Sentence

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking, F5, 2925.03(A)(1) and 3 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to the following conditions: Community control continued.

Maintain mental health medication.  Reside at Salvation Army. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Participate in Drug Court.
