Week of 5/16/16 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 5/16/2016 to 5/23/2016:

 

5/18/2016 - Keith Ad Klosski, 27 year old male from DOYLESTOWN - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000001

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 6 months.

 

5/18/2016 - Jessica M. Obrien, 24 year old female from WEST SALEM - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000040

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 5 days. The judge ordered: Judge gave credit for time served. Waived costs, no fine.

 

5/18/2016 - Thomas Edward Woofter, 27 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2015 CRC-I 000369

Convicted of Breaking and Entering, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.13(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Perform Community Service: 40 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

5/18/2016 - Corey Jerome Dotson, 41 year old male from Medina - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000016

Convicted of Insurance Fraud, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.47(B)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to:  Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs/Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 100 Hours; Pay Restitution: $1309.95.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Wayne County Jail: Serve 20 Days.

 

5/18/2016 - Roland P. Poorman, 30 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000003

Convicted of Grand Theft, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 3 months (with 9 months suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered:  Defendant may screen for house arrest on jail incarceration. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs/Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Pay Restitution: $3,451.00.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Wayne County Jail: Serve 90 Days.
