Week of 7/04/16 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.

Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 7/4/2016 to 7/11/2016:

 

7/6/2016 - Brian A. Wright, 25 year old male from Dalton - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000054

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(B)

and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days, Community Control sanctions in

the amount of 2 years, a fine of $500.00 and a driver's license suspension for 1 year. Additionally the following conditions were

imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation

Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Pay Restitution: 313.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health

Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

7/6/2016 - Deonta A. Lee, 31 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2015 CRC-I 000267

Convicted of Murder, UF, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.02(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of

incarceration of Life Imprisonment with Parole Eligibility at 15 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court

Costs / Probation Fees.

 

7/6/2016 - Brandon T. Phillips, 36 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000039

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation

Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug /

Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Alcohol-related

prohibitions: no consumption and scram unit.

 

7/6/2016 - Caroline N. Bialke, 24 year old female from Copley - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000122

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K.

Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 years, Post Release Control in the amount of 5 years and a driver's license suspension for 6

months.

 

7/6/2016 - Eric A. Troyer, 32 year old male from Killbuck - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000041

Convicted of Attempted Illegal Assembly or Possession Of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio

Revised Code 2923.02 / 2925.041(A) and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of

(with 2 years, 6 months suspended), Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a driver's license suspension for 6

months. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws &

of incarceration of 5 years.

 

7/8/2016 - Lareece Kesean Woods, 22 year old male from Orrville - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000057

Convicted of Murder, UF, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.02(A) and 3 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E.

Spitler to: a term of incarceration of Life Imprisonment with Parole Eligibility at 15 years, 3 years, 6 months.

Sentence

Corey E. Spitler to the following conditions: Community control continued and extended by one year. Additionally the following

conditions were imposed: Wayne County Jail: Serve 30 Days.
