Week of 9/10/18 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 9/10/2018 to 9/17/2018:

 

9/11/2018 - Mark Erb, 40 year old male from Orrville - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000172

Convicted of Attempted Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 /2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00. The judge ordered: Pay fine and court costs within 30 days.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

9/12/2018 - Michael Jason McClain, 33 year old male from Creston - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000204

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Drug Court.

 

9/12/2018 - Shawn P. Gresh, 36 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000102

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of (with 1 year suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

9/12/2018 - Sierra Rose, 32 year old female from Massillon - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000352

Convicted of Obstructing Official Business, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.31(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $250.00. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

9/12/2018 - Tammi Beck, 41 year old female from APPLE CREEK - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000051

Convicted of Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.12(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 months and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year.
