Week of 9/12/16 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.

Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 9/12/2016 to 9/19/2016:

 

9/14/2016 - Justin Tyler Schmidt, 23 year old male from Orrville - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000141

Convicted of Improperly Handling Firearms In A Motor Vehicle, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.16(B). Sentenced by

Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Forfeiture will be set for

hearing; firearm will be forfeited if mother is not innocent owner. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court

Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform

Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation

Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

9/14/2016 - Marissa Amori Flewellen, 19 year old female from Wooster - Case No. 2015 CRC-I 000328 - Probation

Violation Sentence

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to the

following conditions: Community control continued and extended one year. Additionally the following conditions were imposed:

Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 - 6 months): SRCCC.

 

9/14/2016 - David C. Armbrust, 29 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 2014 CRC-I 000184 - Probation Violation

Sentence

Convicted of Trafficking in Cocaine, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1) and 5 additional counts. Sentenced by

Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a driver's license suspension for 6 months.

Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation

Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug /

Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Obtain GED or High School

Diploma; Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 - 6 months): SRCCC.
