Week of 9/24/18 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 9/24/2018 to 10/1/2018:

 

9/25/2018 - Kimberly Nixon, 35 year old female from Orrville - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000403

Convicted of Obstructing Official Business, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.31(A) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $300.00. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs/Probation Fees.

 

9/26/2018 - Jeremy Vance, 28 year old male from Rittman - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000068

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 months. The judge ordered: Credit for jail time served. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

 

9/26/2018 - Jeremy Scott Vance, 26 year old male from RITTMAN - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000071

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 years. The judge ordered: Credit for jail time served. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

 

9/26/2018 - Jeremy Scott Vance, 27 year old male from RITTMAN - Case No. 2016 CRC-I 000242

Convicted of Burglary, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(A)(3). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 years. The judge ordered: Credit for jail time served. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: $2,421.00.; PRC Notification Given.

 

9/26/2018 - Christy Lynn Hannahs, 35 year old female from Creston - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000105

Convicted of Attempted Aggravated Possession of Drugs, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 / 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $200.00. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs/Probation Fees.

 

9/26/2018 - Richard Hacker, 18 year old male from Shreve - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000173

Convicted of Arson, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2909.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Write a letter of apology.  Must register as an Arsonist. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Pay Restitution: $5,350.00.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain /Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

9/26/2018 - Gregory A. Boswell, 42 year old male from Creston - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000304

Convicted of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them - OVI, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 4511.19(A)(1)(a). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months, a fine of $1,350.00 and a driver's license suspension for 10 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 - 6 months): SRCCC.

 

9/26/2018 - John Lee Miller, 36 year old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000132

Convicted of Failure to Provide Notice Of Change Of Address, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2950.05(F)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 30 days.

 

9/26/2018 - Andrew Joseph Keyes, 24 year old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000106

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years. The judge ordered: Not leave the state of Ohio without permission  No firearms.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer.
