Barbara Biro - Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Supervising Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Barbara E. Biro joined the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in May 2017. She represented the Wayne County Child Enforcement Agency in matters before Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court until April 15, 2018, where she also provided supervision and performance management to the WCCSEA’s legal team. Barbara has sinced joined the office's Civil Division where she assists in advising all the civil clients for whom the county prosecuting attorney is the statutory legal advisor. These clients include all county elected officials, all the county boards and commissions, and the boards of trustees for the county's sixteen townships. Barbara earned her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from University of Szeged, Hungary. While in law school, she served her judicial internship in a municipal court. After graduating, she started working in a private law firm where she assisted an attorney in criminal defense cases in addition to handling corporation and domestic relations matters. After coming to the United States, Barbara, pursued a Master of Laws degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, which she was awarded in 2015. As law school graduate, she assisted attorney in domestic relations disputes at Community Legal Aid Services, in Canton, Ohio. After Barbara was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November 2016, she worked in arbitration in Cleveland, Ohio until joining the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office team.
