Position Overview:
The Fiscal Officer monitors and assists with a wide variety of fiscal management and control activities (e.g. invoices and receipts; balances accounts; monitors contracts and agreements, and implements accounting procedures; prepares and submits billings for state and federal reimbursement programs; prepares fiscal projections and budget for agency; prepares monthly financial statements and submits to ODJFS through CFIS on a monthly basis; monitors bookkeeping operations for all purchases and receipts, reviews payroll, RMS coordinator, etc.).  Analyzes and reconciles case accounts and payments and prepares manual account audits.  Processes and maintains documentation for family support cases.  Keeps abreast of changes in the child support program, laws, policies and procedures.  Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older to apply. Completion of secondary education plus two (2) years of experience in a position involving fiscal or budgeting responsibilities duties; completion of undergraduate major core coursework in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration or human resources plus two (2) years of experience in a position involving fiscal or budgeting responsibilities duties is preferred; or equivalent combination of training, education, or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.  Must possess a high school diploma and a valid drivers license.  Applicants must pass a FBI/BCI background check prior to employoment.  ODJFS Fiscal experience preferred.  Qualified applicants should submit an application, cover letter and resume to the Wayne County CSEA, Attn:  Nathan Franck, Assistant Director, 428 W.
