Week of 2/01/21 Criminal Felony Convictions::

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 2/1/2021 to 2/8/2021:

 

2/2/2021 – James Errette Smith, 62-year-old male from RITTMAN – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000547

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

2/3/2021 – Payne McCluggage, 21-year-old male from Holmesville – Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000332

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

 

2/3/2021 – Donald L. Dawson, Jr., 39-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000349

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(2) and 4 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 4 years. The judge ordered: Forf. of money.

 

2/3/2021 – Kyle Gardner Bourne, 32 year old male from Port Washington – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000425

Convicted of Illegal Assembly or Possession Of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.041(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 3 years. The judge ordered: 36-month sentence concurrent to Carol County case. Judge to review case once the older Carol County Case is finished.
