Week of 2/01/21 Misdemeanor Convictions::

The Wayne County Municipal Court has jurisdiction over misdemeanor level offenses. The following are the criminal case convictions (not including traffic offenses) for 2/1/2021 to 2/8/2021:

 

2/1/2021 – James Eugene Hostetler, 44-year-old male from WEST SALEM – Case No. 2020 CR-B 000972

Convicted of Disorderly Conduct, MM, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2917.11(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $125.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

2/1/2021 – Gary Rice, 45-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2020 CR-B 001047

Convicted of Disorderly Conduct, M4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2917.11(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $200.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Alcohol-related prohibitions: no use/possession; Counseling: anger management.

 

2/2/2021 – Abigail Barnes, 23-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CR-B 001216

Convicted of Obstructing Official Business, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.31(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $400.00.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 25 Hours; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Alcohol-related prohibitions: no use / possession.

 

2/2/2021 – Michael S. Eagle, 30-year-old male from WEST SALEM – Case No. 2020 CR-B 001439

Convicted of Criminal Mischief, M3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2909.07(A)(1)(a). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $200.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Pay Restitution: $449.70.

 

2/2/2021 – James Kay, 29-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2019 CR-B 001680

Convicted of Domestic Violence, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(C). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a term of incarceration of 88 days and a fine of $200.00.

 

2/2/2021 – James Kay, 30-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CR-B 001245

Convicted of Disorderly Conduct, MM, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2917.11(B)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $150.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

2/2/2021 – Richard Archer, 54-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000058

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $200.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Pay Restitution: 156.38.; Participate in Thinking for a Change Program.

 

2/2/2021 – Debora Collett, 57-year-old female from BIG PRIARIE – Case No. 2020 CR-B 000525

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $200.00. The judge ordered: Create list of “goals for the future” with PO McGrath. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department.

 

2/5/2021 – Curtis James Smiley, 20-year-old male from BARBERTON – Case No. 2020 CR-B 000622

Convicted of Disorderly Conduct, M4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2917.11(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 6 months and a fine of $100.00.
