Week of 4/05/2021 Criminal Felony Convictions::

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 4/5/2021 to 4/12/2021:

 

4/6/2021 – Thomas R. Holler, 36-year-old male from ST LOUISVILLE – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000436

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Forfeiture of Ruger 9MM handgun.

 

4/7/2021 – Edward Vitai, 27-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000574

Convicted of Felonious Assault, F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.11(A)(2) and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 9 years and a driver’s license suspension for 15 years.

 

4/7/2021 – Edward Vitai, 27-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000560

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 10 months.

 

4/7/2021 – Nicole Helms, 44-year-old female from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000361

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Maintain one PCP and immediately report all changes in prescribed medication. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.
