A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 5/17/2021 to 5/24/2021:

 

5/19/2021 – Sarah Howman, 43-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000043

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 40 Hours; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Drug Court; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

5/19/2021 – Sarah Howman, 43-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000113

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 40 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Drug Court; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

5/19/2021 – Dakota Dallas Books, 18-year-old male from Rittman – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000498

Convicted of Assault, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.13(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

5/19/2021 – Dakota Dallas Books, 18-year-old male from RITTMAN – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000056

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

5/19/2021 – Dakota Dallas Books, 19-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000152

Convicted of Harassment with a Bodily Substance, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.38(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

5/19/2021 – David Wickens, 28-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000027

Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a fine of $250.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

5/19/2021 – Philip Shaun Norman, 36-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000468

Convicted of Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Maintain one PCP, notify PO of any changes of medication Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

5/19/2021 – Philip Norman, 37-year-old male from MARSHALLVILLE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000146

Convicted of Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 24 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

5/21/2021 – Timothy I. Myers, 28-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000478

Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a fine of $100.00.
