Week of 11/29/21 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 11/29/2021 to 12/6/2021:

 

11/29/2021 – Azriel Anastasius Garcia, 22-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000212

Convicted of Improperly Handling Firearms in A Motor Vehicle, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.16(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Forfeiture of firearm as stated in the indictment.

 

11/30/2021 – Alicia Courtwright, 33-year-old female from CANTON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000237

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

11/30/2021 – Troy Joseph, 56-year-old male from Mansfield – Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000723

Convicted of Improperly Handling Firearms in A Motor Vehicle, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.16(D)(1) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 30 days, a fine of $500.00 and a driver’s license suspension for 3 years.

 

11/30/2021 – Gregory A. Anderson, 31-year-old male from Columbus – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000013

Convicted of Having Weapons While Under Disability, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.13(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Forfeiture of firearm as stated in the indictment.

 

11/30/2021 – Dennis D. Kisner, 75-year-old male from MASSILLON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000223

Convicted of Importuning, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.07(B)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 15 days and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 5 years. The judge ordered: Sex offender specific probation Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Sex Offender Registration: I.

 

12/2/2021 – Chelynn Mosley, 38-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000475

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days.
