Week of 12/6/21 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 12/6/2021 to 12/13/2021:

 

12/8/2021 – Christopher Duminske, 37-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000099

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 14 days. The judge ordered: Credit for 14 days served

 

12/8/2021 – Scott James, 41-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000424

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

12/8/2021 – Travis Thornburg, 43-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000236

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 – 6 months): SRCCC; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

12/9/2021 – Alexis Mote, 26-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000234

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.
