Week of 12/13/21 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 12/13/2021 to 12/20/2021:

 

12/14/2021 – Chase Boyd, 29-year-old male from CRESTON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000321

Convicted of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them – OVI, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 4511.19(A)(1)(a). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year, 6 months, a fine of $375.00 and a driver’s license suspension for 1 year. The judge ordered: 6 points on license Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department.

 

12/14/2021 – Dante Manis, 24-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000159

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

12/15/2021 – Juanita Rose Good, 49-year-old female from AKRON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000295

Convicted of Forgery, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.31(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of (with 1 year suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; PRC Notification Given; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group; Participate in Day Reporting Program.

 

12/15/2021 – Juanita R. Good, 48-year-old female from AKRON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000293

Convicted of Forgery, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.31(A)(3). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of (with 1 year suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. 12/15/2021 – Adam Sanders, 30-year-old male from AKRON – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000536

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 51 days. The judge ordered: Credit for time served.

 

12/15/2021 – Reuben M. Troyer, 31-year-old male from APPLE CREEK – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000285

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

12/15/2021 – Matthew Charles Snoddy, 32-year-old male from MASSILLON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000360

Convicted of Theft from a Person in a Protected Class, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Complete Wilson Hall aftercare.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.
