Week of 2/21/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 2/21/2022 to 2/28/2022:

 

2/22/2022 – Julie A. Saffell, 41-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000461

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 days and a fine of $50.00.

 

2/22/2022 – Kody Butterbaugh, 20-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000160

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00.

 

2/23/2022 – Anthony Bryant, 31-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000226

Convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.05(A)(4). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 5 years and Post Release Control in the amount of 5 years. The judge ordered: Credit for 146 days of local jail time. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Sex Offender Registration: II; PRC Notification Given.
