Week of 3/28/22 Criminal Felony Convictions::

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 3/28/2022 to 4/4/2022:

 

3/30/2022 – John Simpson, 24-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000477

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 – 6 months): SRCCC; Participate in Drug Court; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/30/2022 – Johnathon Ray Simpson, 25-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000100

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 – 6 months): SRCCC; Participate in Drug Court; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/30/2022 – Mary Isaac, 37-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000274

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 40 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/30/2022 – Lisa Mast, 42-year-old female from Millersburg – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000403

Convicted of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.06(A)(1)(a). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 2 years, Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years and a revoked driver’s license. The judge ordered: Driver’s license suspended for life.

 

3/30/2022 – Valerie Baxter, 32-year-old female from Gahanna – Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000453

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 29 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a driver’s license suspension for 1 year. The judge ordered: Credit for 29 days served Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 – 6 months): CBCF in Franklin County.
