The Wayne County Municipal Court has jurisdiction over misdemeanor level offenses. The following are the criminal case convictions (not including traffic offenses) for 4/18/2022 to 4/25/2022:

 

4/18/2022 – Gary Johnson, 52-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000620

Convicted of Disorderly Conduct, M4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2917.11(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a fine of $250.00.

 

4/18/2022 – Sheri Therese Schaefer, 39-year-old female from CRESTON – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001448

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a term of incarceration of 60 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $250.00. The judge ordered: No Drugs or Alcohol Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Pay Restitution: $10.58 WG Dairy Supply.

 

4/18/2022 – Austin Connock, 22-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001397

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $250.00. The judge ordered: Defendant shall be subject to random drug screens. Defendant shall complete all counseling as ordered by his probation officer. Defendant shall not be in Walmart (Wooster) Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

 

4/18/2022 – Austin Connock, 22-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001380

Convicted of Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.12(A). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year. The judge ordered: Defendant shall be subject to random drug screens. Defendant shall complete all counseling as ordered by his probation officer.

 

4/18/2022 – Jacob Freeze, 26-year-old male from Akron – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000276

Convicted of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.03(A). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a term of incarceration of 43 days and a fine of $500.00. The judge ordered: 43 days with credit for 43 days’ time served. 100 hours community service due before 12/31/2022 Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

 

4/19/2022 – Kevin Rickly, 46-year-old male from Shreve – Case No. 2022 CR-B 000406

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(B). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $400.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

4/18/2022 – Khalil Brown, 20-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001538

Convicted of Misuse of Credit Cards, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.21(B)(2). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $500.00. The judge ordered: 50 hours of community service – completed by 8/30/2022 Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

 

4/18/2022 – Velton Farmer, 57-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CR-B 000114

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(B). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $500.00. The judge ordered: Defendant shall complete a remedial driving course Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

4/19/2022 – Deborah Ann Hargrove-Franks, 70-year-old female from Wooster – Case No. 2022 CR-B 000365

Convicted of Failure to Confine Dog on Premises, UM, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 0955.22(C)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a fine of $50.00.

 

4/19/2022 – June E. Baughan, 44-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001041

Convicted of Cruelty to Companion Animals, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 0959.131(B) and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a term of incarceration of 15 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a fine of $750.00. The judge ordered: Defendant shall obtain a mental health assessment and follow all recommendations. Defendant shall not own, harbor, or possess any companion animals until such time as she has demonstrated compliance with any mental health assessment recommendations and has an appropriate care plan and environment for any companion animals.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

4/19/2022 – Brian Edward Helms, 25-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001022

Convicted of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.03(A). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a term of incarceration of 30 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a fine of $250.00. The judge ordered: Defendant shall obtain a mental health assessment and follow all recommendations. Defendant shall be subject to random drug screens. 4/21/2022 – Thomas Fendenheim, 59-year-old male from MASSILLON – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001385

Convicted of Obstructing Official Business, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.31(A). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a term of incarceration of 60 days and a fine of $250.00. 4/21/2022 – Thomas Fendenheim, 59-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2022 CR-B 000038

Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a term of incarceration of 90 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $200.00. 4/21/2022 – Shaun Robinson, 32-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000961

Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a term of incarceration of 60 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year, 6 months and a fine of $350.00. 4/21/2022 – Thomas James Tinney, 32-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000789

Convicted of Obstructing Official Business, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.31(A). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a fine of $200.00.

 

4/19/2022 – Brian Helms, 25-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000956

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(A). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: a fine of $250.00.
