Week of 7/4/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 7/4/2022 to 7/11/2022:

7/6/2022 – Trent David Davis, 24-year-old male from Rittman – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000456

Convicted of Vehicular Assault, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.08(A)(2)(b) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 years and a driver’s license suspension for 10 years.

7/6/2022 – Stacey Kaylene Howell, 29-year-old female from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000133

Convicted of Forgery, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.31(A)(3) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Pay Restitution: 2705.55.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

7/6/2022 – Quiaja Maggie Ellis Joplin, 21-year-old female from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000520

Convicted of Assault, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.13(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

7/6/2022 – Alvin Robinson, 39-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000310

Convicted of Burglary, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

7/6/2022 – Zachery Curtis Like, 43-year-old male from RITTMAN – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000514

Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.
