Week of 9/5/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 9/5/2022 to 9/12/2022:

9/7/2022 – David Crowley, 22-year-old male from SHREVE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000500

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 18 years, a fine of $375.00 and a driver’s license suspension for 1 year. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

\9/7/2022 – Shelli Mae Williams, 34-year-old female from West Salem – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000519

Convicted of Arson, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2909.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 9 months.

9/7/2022 – Keith Spencer, 28-year-old male from SHREVE – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000168

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 18 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

9/7/2022 – Crystal Aukerman, 37-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000165

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

9/7/2022 – Joann Vance, 46-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000200

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 60 days.

9/7/2022 – Abigail Barnes, 23-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000247

Convicted of Possession of Cocaine, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $200.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

9/7/2022 – Jesse Jonathan Tapia, 29-year-old male from MASSILLON – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000152

Convicted of Grand Theft When the Property is a Firearm or Dangerous Ordnance, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02 (A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.
