Week of 10/17/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 10/17/2022 to 10/24/2022:

10/19/2022 – Trisha Nicole Wiley, 37-year-old female from CANTON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000552

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 9 months and a driver’s license suspension for 3 years.

10/19/2022 – Johnathon Simpson, 26-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000276

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

10/19/2022 – Randal Miller, 33-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000094

Convicted of Driving Under OVI Suspension, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 4510.14(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 4 days and a fine of $500.00. The judge ordered: Pay fine by 4/15/2023; Credit for 4 days’ time served.

10/19/2022 – Rosanna Marie Gamble, 35-year-old female from MILLERSBURG – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000407

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days. The judge ordered: Costs waived – 30 Days in WC Jail.

10/19/2022 – Zachary Daugherty, 28-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000320

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 5 months. The judge ordered: Sentence shall be served concurrent to 2022 CRC 000129.

10/19/2022 – Zachary Aaron Daugherty, 28-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000129

Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 11 months. The judge ordered: Sentence Concurrent w/ 2021 CRC 000320.
