Week of 10/24/2022 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 10/24/2022 to 10/31/2022:

10/26/2022 – David Johnson, 36-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000246

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 90 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

10/26/2022 – Jessica Fronie Pearson, 32-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000309

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs /Probation Fees.

10/26/2022 – Adam Wall, 29-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000142

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

10/26/2022 – Ekaterinie Olympia Maglis, 30-year-old female from CANTON – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000496

Convicted of Identity Fraud, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.49(B)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

10/26/2022 – Joseph Gibson, 33-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000347

Convicted of Breaking and Entering, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.13(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 10 months. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: $1539.41.

10/26/2022 – Joseph Gibson, 33-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000547

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 10 months.

10/26/2022 – Joseph O’Neale Gibson, 33-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000075

Convicted of Failure to Provide Notice of Change of Address, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2950.05(F)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 3 years.

10/26/2022 – Joseph Gibson, 33-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000445

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 2 years, 6 months.
