 Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney Seeks Part-Time Diversion Coordinator

The Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is seeking a dedicated and organized part-time Diversion Coordinator for approximately ten (10) hours a week. This role involves developing and overseeing individualized supervision plans for participants in diversion programs at both the municipal and felony levels. The Coordinator will determine eligibility for municipal participants and present felony candidates to the Felony Diversion Panel. The Coordinator will work closely with justice-involved individuals to ensure compliance, support rehabilitation, and reduce recidivism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supervision plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide regular updates and support.
  • Conduct assessments and interviews to evaluate risks and needs.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals, mental health providers, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of mental health, trauma, and substance use issues.
  • Skilled in interviewing and assessment techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with the criminal justice system.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Capable of working independently and managing time effectively.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
