Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney Seeks Full-Time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
The Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Civil Division.
Position Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- conducting legal research and litigation
- preparing legal memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents
- providing legal opinions on a broad range of issues arising from the Office’s role as legal advisor to its civil clients, which include: Wayne County elected officials, Wayne County’s sixteen townships, Wayne County boards, and other statutory clients.
- Assisting, as needed, in juvenile delinquency and unruly cases and/or abuse, neglect, and dependency proceedings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
- Demonstrate excellent research and writing skills
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Maintain a high level of professional conduct and integrity
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Trial or litigation experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation
Compensation for this position will be between $63,000-$98,000/year, commensurate with experience and abilities, and will include full county benefits.
