David Folk – Chief Civil Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
Dave Folk graduated from the Cleveland State University, Marchall College of Law in May 2007, and started his legal career as an assistant county prosecuting attorney in the Civil Division of the Medina County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in May 2008, where he worked until October 2014. From January 2013 to October 2014, Dave was the Civil Division Chief in the Medina County Prosecutor’s Office. In November 2014, Dave was hired as an assistant law director for the City of Akron, working in that office’s Civil Division until April 2017. From April 2017, Dave worked as a Risk Management Consultant at Crain, Langner & Co. in Richfield, Ohio, until he became a member of the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office team in March 2019, where he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney prosecuting the abuse, dependency, and neglect cases on behalf of Children Services and as the Juvenile Division Supervisor. In October 2021, Dave was promoted to Chief Criminal Assistant Prosecutor and supervised the Felony and Misdemeanor Divisions. In July 2024, Dave became the Chief Civil Assistant Prosecutor supervising the Juvenile and Civil Divisions and prosecuting abuse, dependency, and neglect cases.
