David Haverfield – Chief Criminal Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

David Haverfield joined the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in March 2024 where he worked in the Civil Division.  There, he assisted in advising all the civil clients for whom the county prosecuting attorney is the statutory legal advisor.  In July 2024, Dave was promoted to Chief Criminal Assistant Prosecuting Attorney supervising the Felony and Misdemeanor Divisions.  Dave is a 1992 graduate of Bowling Green State University and a 1995 graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.  After law school, Dave worked in private practice in Stark and Tuscarawas Counties and has twenty-five years of public service experience, primarily in the areas of child welfare and public agency administration.
