Criminal Convictions in the Wayne County, Ohio Common Pleas Court for Week of May 13, 2013

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for the week of May 13, 2013:

5/13/2013 - Robert J. Reese, 30 year old from Findlay - Case No. 0309-12-CR
     Convicted of Grand Theft (Firearm from Licensed Firearm Dealer), F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 years and Post Release Control in the amount of 5 years.

5/14/2013 - Anthony Karl Moore, 28 year old male from Wooster - Case No. 0430-12-CR
     Convicted of Burglary, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(A)(3).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months (with 2 years, 6 months suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years, Court costs, 100 hours Community Service, Complete program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4-6 months) – SRCCC, Random drug testing, drug and alcohol counseling and anger management.

5/15/2013 - Daniel L. Johnson, Jr., 28 year old male from Apple Creek - Case No. 0420-12-CR
     Convicted of Failure To Register, F4, 2950.04(E).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Obtain and maintain gainful employment, Court Costs, 100 hours Community Service, Intensive Supervision Program, Mental Health assessment, random drug testing and drug and alcohol counseling as directed by probation.

5/15/2013 - La Ricco L. Woods, 21 year old male from ORRVILLE - Case No. 0345-12-CR
     Convicted of Aggravated Trespass, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.211(A) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 15 days.
