Week of 10/19/20 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 10/19/2020 to 10/26/2020:

 

10/20/2020 - Jamie Emerson, 36-year-old female from WOOSTER - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000282

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

10/21/2020 - Alexis Mote, 24-year-old female from Wooster - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000263

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 28 days. The judge ordered: Credit for time served.

 

10/21/2020 - Jeffrey A. Young, 57-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000366

Convicted of Possession of Cocaine, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

 

10/21/2020 - Hannah Vanbrunt, 24-year-old female from WOOSTER - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000346

Convicted of Tampering with Evidence, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.12(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K.

Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court

Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; PRC Notification Given; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group; Participate in Day Reporting Program.
