A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 11/25/2019 to 12/2/2019:

11/26/2019 - Weslee Estrada, 22-year-old male from Smithville - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000594    

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(2).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

11/26/2019 - Kevin Michael Scott Rowe, 30-year-old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000202    

Convicted of Domestic Violence, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 43 days.  The judge ordered: CC waived. 43 days WCJ; credit 19 days.

11/26/2019 - Judith Nichols, 28-year-old female from Wooster - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000106    

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 18 years.  The judge ordered: Credit for 42 days jail time served.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 40 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group; Participate in Day Reporting Program.

11/26/2019 - Scott Saffell, 41-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000014    

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 3 years and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 - 6 months): SRCCC; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group; Participate in Day Reporting Program.
