Week of 2/17/20 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 2/17/2020 to 2/24/2020:

2/18/2020 - Samuel J. Pyers, 21-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000004    

Convicted of Making False Alarms, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2917.32(A)(3) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $500.00.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

2/18/2020 - Timothy Yates, 19-year-old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000282    

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Drug Court; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

2/18/2020 - Calame Armstrong, 28-year-old male from Orrville - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000193     Convicted of Improperly Handling Firearms in A Motor Vehicle, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.16(B) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years, a fine of $750.00 and a driver's license suspension for 3 years.  The judge ordered: Complete Anger Management.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; No Contact with Danielle Armstrong; Alcohol-related prohibitions: Alcohol monitoring.

 Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of (with 1 year suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year, 6 months.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

 

2/19/2020 - William Wayne Ridenour, 38-year-old male from Jeromesville - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000148     Convicted of Breaking and Entering, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.13(A) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 11 months.  The judge ordered: Sentencing by video. Sentence concurrent with Ashland and Richland County sentences.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: $1,175.01.

2/19/2020 - Brandi Humphrey, 34-year-old female from Wooster - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000498     Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year, 6 months.  The judge ordered: Complete Family Dependency Court Complete Children’s Services Case Plan.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 40 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years.  The judge ordered: Credit for 75 days’ jail time served.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

2/19/2020 - Misty Hedrick, 37-year-old female from Dalton - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000376    

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. 2/19/2020 - Stephen Losh, 33-year-old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000313    

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.
