A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 3/8/2021 to 3/15/2021:

 

3/8/2021 - Cody Geitgey, 24-year-old male from ORRVILLE - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000546

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

 

3/9/2021 - Angela Smith, 37-year-old female from Akron - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000561

Convicted of Improperly Handling Firearms in A Motor Vehicle, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.16(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00. The judge ordered: State agreed to not objected to sealing of record if Defendant is still appropriate at a later date. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

3/10/2021 - Thomas Zeno Hamilton, 27-year-old male from BARBERTON - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000379

Convicted of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them - OVI, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 4511.19(A)(1)(a). Sentenced by Judge Mark K.
