Week of 5/18/20 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 5/18/2020 to 5/25/2020:

5/20/2020 - Dustin Hartsoe, 37-year-old female from WOOSTER TWP - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000127     Convicted of Falsification, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.13(A)(3).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $250.00.  The judge ordered: Credit for time served.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

5/20/2020 - Bradley Dewitt, 28-year-old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000053     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  The judge ordered: Intensive supervision.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 hours hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program.

5/21/2020 - Dane Robert Patterson, 32-year-old male from Millersburg - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000611     Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(2).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

5/20/2020 - Clark Nichols, 34-year-old male from WOOSTER - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000095     Convicted of Domestic Violence, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  The judge ordered: Random Screens Drug Counseling as rec by PO SRCCC and After Care Batter's Program at a New Day WCJ until bed is available at SRCCC.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Perform Community Service: 150 Hours; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Obtain GED or High School Diploma; Intensive Supervision Program; Counseling: MH and drug counseling per PO; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.
