Week of 6/3/19 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 6/3/2019 to 6/10/2019:

6/3/2019 - Jonathon Lee Bibb, 26-year-old male from ORRVILLE - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000548     Convicted of Failure to Register, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2950.04(E).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year, 6 months.  The judge ordered: Comply with terms and conditions of Medina County probation (17CR1106). Court costs waived.

6/4/2019 - Jesse J. Swiger, 33-year-old male from Canton - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000696     Convicted of Attempted Aggravated Possession of Drugs, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2923.02 / 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $250.00.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

6/4/2019 - Thomas A. Wilkinson, 40-year-old male from Rittman - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000759     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 10 days.  The judge ordered: Credit for 10 days’ jail time served

6/5/2019 - Charles Finkenbinder, 31-year-old male from Orrville - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000625     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 90 days.  The judge ordered: Court costs waived.

6/5/2019 - Dakota Moore, 30-year-old male from WOOSTER     Convicted of Receiving Stolen Property, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.51(A) and 3 additional counts.  Sentenced to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

6/5/2019 - Gail S. Hill, 36-year-old male from Cleveland - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000249     Convicted of Grand Theft, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.  The judge ordered: Consecutive to Cuyahoga County sentence. Court costs waived.

6/5/2019 - James J. Ehser, 45-year-old male from West Columbia - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000764     Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(2).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 6 months and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  The judge ordered: Comply with Interstate Compact rules. No pseudoephedrine purchases.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.
