Week of 7/29/19 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 7/29/2019 to 8/5/2019:

7/31/2019 - William Higdon, 40-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000144     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count.  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Screening: SRCCC or other residential treatment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

7/31/2019 - William Higdon, 40-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000060     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 months and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Screening: SRCCC or other residential treatment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

7/31/2019 - Tristan Andrew Hartzler, 24-year-old male from Shreve - Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000292     Convicted of Assault, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.13(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 10 months.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

7/31/2019 - Tabitha Marie Workman, 28-year-old female from Wooster - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000409     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Complete Residential Drug/Alcohol Treatment at Beacon House.
