Week of 7/5/21 Criminal Felony Convictions

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 7/5/2021 to 7/12/2021:

 

7/7/2021 - Jeremy B. Smith, 44-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2017 CRC-I 000201

Convicted of Possession of Cocaine, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 3 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

 

7/7/2021 - Jeremy B. Smith, 43-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2015 CRC-I 000274

Convicted of Trafficking in Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

7/7/2021 - Thomas Albert Dilyard, 39-year-old male from Wooster - Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000379

Convicted of Theft from a Person in a Protected Class, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(3). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.
