Week of 8/24/20 Criminal Felony Covictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 8/24/2020 to 8/31/2020:

8/25/2020 - Bryan Yoder, 29-year-old male from ORRVILLE - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000148     Convicted of Counterfeiting, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.30(B)(2).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $250.00.  The judge ordered: Credit for time served.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

8/26/2020 - Melinda Christensen, 31-year-old female from ASHLAND - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000326     Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

8/26/2020 - Tyler Zupancic, 19-year-old male from Killbuck - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000063     Convicted of Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.14(C)(1).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.

8/26/2020 - Tyler Zupancic, 19-year-old male from Killbuck - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000170     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.  Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Obtain GED or High School Diploma; Intensive Supervision Program; PRC Notification Given; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

8/26/2020 - Steven Olsen, 34-year-old male from Barberton - Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000068     Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A).  Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to the following conditions: Credit for time served.
