Week of 2/22/21 Criminal Felony Convictions::

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 2/22/2021 to 3/1/2021:

 

2/23/2021 – Linda Wahl, 31-year-old female from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000268

Convicted of Forgery, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.31(A)(3) and 4 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

2/23/2021 – Linda Wahl, 32-year-old female from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000267

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

2/23/2021 – James R. Shewell, 36-year-old male from West Salem – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000422

Convicted of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with A Minor, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.04(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 4 years and Post Release Control in the amount of 5 years. The judge ordered: 4 to 6years in prison for indefinite sentence Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Sex Offender Registration: Tier II; PRC Notification Given.

 

2/24/2021 – Thomas Patrick Shields, 50-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000416

Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation

Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

2/24/2021 – Cody Allen Fenwick, 29-year-old male from Orrville – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000052

Convicted of Receiving Stolen Property, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.51(A) and 2 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

2/24/2021 – Cody A. Fenwick, 29-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000051

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years and Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years. The judge ordered: 2-3 1/2 years for indefinite sentencing.

 

2/24/2021 – Cody Allen Fenwick, 30-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000474

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(B) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days and a driver’s license suspension for 5 years.

 

2/24/2021 – Jeffrey Young, 58-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000004

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 2/22/2021 to 3/1/2021:

 

2/24/2021 – Taylor McKenna Parker, 25-year-old female from Akron – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000232

Convicted of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.331(B). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years and a driver’s license suspension for 99 years. The judge ordered: Lifetime license suspension Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program.

 

2/25/2021 – Aliza Vinson, 46-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000591

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a fine of $500.00. The judge ordered: Write a formal letter of apology. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 80 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; No Contact with with protected parties.; PRC Notification Given.
