Week of 3/1/21 Criminal Felony Convictions::

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 3/1/2021 to 3/8/2021:

 

3/2/2021 – Alexandra Michelle Dawson, 29 year old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000409

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

 

3/2/2021 – Alexandra Michelle Dawson, 29 year old female from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000348

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(2) and 4 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 4 years. The judge ordered: 4-6-year sentence due to Reagan Tokes.

 

3/3/2021 – Jeremy R. Griffitts, 41-year-old male from Fostoria – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000525

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and 3 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years, Post Release Control in the amount of 3 years, a fine of $525.00 and a driver’s license suspension for 5 years. The judge ordered: 2-3 1/2 years indefinite sentencing. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Forfeiture of Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun Serial # SD9VE.; PRC Notification Given.

 

3/3/2021 – Asmar Joshua Tomas Mikel Epps, 19-year-old male from Akron – Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000145

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Fentanyl), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

 

3/3/2021 – Anthony Tomassetti, 39-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000493

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 5 years. The judge ordered: 60 Mo. probation; take medications as prescribed; Sammy group. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department.

 

3/3/2021 – Glen Edward Hopkins, 41-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000467

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/3/2021 – Andrew Justin Pope, 32-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000512

Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; No Contact with protected party; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.
