Week of 11/1/21 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 11/1/2021 to 11/8/2021:

 

11/2/2021 – Melisa Corinne Taylor, 43-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000023

Convicted of Grand Theft, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs /Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Pay Restitution: $1474.13.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

11/2/2021 – Melisa Corinne Taylor, 43-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000125

Convicted of Receiving Stolen Property, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.51(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

11/2/2021 – Christopher Rouse, 33-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000334

Convicted of Kidnapping, F1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2905.01(A)(3) and 3 additional counts. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Forfeiture of Marlin .22 rifle.

 

11/3/2021 – Scott Pugh, 30-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000262

Convicted of Domestic Violence, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

 

11/3/2021 – Colten Dombroski, 20-year-old male from Orrville – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000147

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to the following conditions: Credit for time served. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

11/3/2021 – Michael Wayne Cunningham, 38-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000342

Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year, 6 months. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

 

11/3/2021 – Timothy A. Rufener, 49-year-old male from Orrville – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000071

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(1) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department;Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.
