Week of 1/24/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 1/24/2022 to 1/31/2022:

 

1/26/2022 – Dana L. Mitchell, 52-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000252

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 3 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years, a fine of $400.00 and a driver’s license suspension for 1 year. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behaviorial Group.

 

1/26/2022 – Bret Hill, 20-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000329

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.
