Week of 1/24/22 Misdemeanor Convictions:

The Wayne County Municipal Court has jurisdiction over misdemeanor level offenses. The following are the criminal case convictions (not including traffic offenses) for 1/24/2022 to 1/31/2022:

 

1/24/2022 – Brandi Nicole Miller, 29-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000968

Convicted of Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.14(C)(1). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 6 months and a fine of $150.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Screening: Drug Assessment and recommended follow-up.

 

1/24/2022 – Carlos Pyles, 28-year-old male from SHREVE – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000797

Convicted of Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.12(A). Sentenced by Judge Michael W. Rickett to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $250.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Screening: Drug and Alcohol Screening and any recommended follow-up.

 

1/24/2022 – Samuel Richards, 23-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000915

Convicted of Assault, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.13(A). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a term of incarceration of 90 days and a fine of $500.00.

 

1/24/2022 – Tylisha Leary, 36-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001170

Convicted of Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.12(A). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years and a fine of $100.00. The judge ordered: Take all prescribed medication Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Counseling: Complete IOP at First Step Recovery and follow all recommendations.

 

1/24/2022 – Tylisha Leary, 36-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001140

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years and a fine of $200.00. The judge ordered: Take all prescribed medication. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Counseling: Complete IOP at First Step Recovery and follow all recommendations.

 

1/24/2022 – Tylisha Marie Leary, 36-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000588

Convicted of Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments, M2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.12(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 3 years and a fine of $300.00. The judge ordered: Take all prescribed medication Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Counseling: Complete IOP at First Step Recovery follow all recommendations.

 

1/24/2022 – James Brooks, 44-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CR-B 001447

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years and a fine of $350.00. The judge ordered: Defendant shall not be in Wooster Wal-Mart Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Perform Community Service: 100 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.

 

1/24/2022 – Angela Rowland, 29-year-old female from Marysville – Case No. 2021 CR-B 000518

Convicted of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.03(A). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: a term of incarceration of 60 days and a fine of $500.00.

 

1/27/2022 – Kayla Stapleton, 26-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CR-B 000082

Convicted of Petty Theft, M1, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Timothy R. VanSickle to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year and a fine of $250.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Participate in Thinking for a Change Program.
