Week of 3/14/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 3/14/2022 to 3/21/2022:

 

3/15/2022 – Jacqueline Bohanner, 19-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000047

Convicted of Possession of Cocaine, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

3/15/2022 – James Thompson, V, 42-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000400

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

3/15/2022 – James V. Thompson, 43-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2019 CRC-I 000560

Convicted of Forgery, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.31(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $500.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

3/15/2022 – Donald Starling, 58-year-old male from BARBERTON – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000476

Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 10 days.

 

3/16/2022 – Deray Woolum, 40-year-old male from MEDINA – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000524

Convicted of Receiving Stolen Property, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.51(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/16/2022 – Deray James Woolum, 41-year-old male from ORRVILLE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000453

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/16/2022 – Deray James Woolum, 41-year-old male from MEDINA – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000122

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Intensive Supervision Program; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

3/16/2022 – Sharon Arnold, 24-year-old female from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000415

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of (with 3 years suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Complete Parenting and Anger Management classes

Write an essay on sobriety. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 50 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment.
