A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.  Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 4/11/2022 to 4/18/2022:

 

4/13/2022 – Thomas Tinney, 32-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000271

Convicted of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days.

 

4/13/2022 – Scott Jarvis, 35-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000427

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest.

 

4/13/2022 – Scott Jarvis, 34-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000173

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 90 days.

 

4/13/2022 – Eric Lee Gilbert, 39-year-old male from Medina – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000106

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced to: a term of incarceration of 60 days.

 

4/13/2022 – Bradlee Clark, 23-year-old male from ASHLAND – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000253

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years and a driver’s license suspension for 3 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Forfeiture of $1586.; PRC Notification Given.

 

4/13/2022 – Brian Todd Phillips, 51-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000487

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years.

 

4/13/2022 – Clarence Betts, 35-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000400

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Shall abide by all laws, shall not leave the state of Ohio without permission of the supervising probation officer and shall not possess, sell, furnish, transfer, dispose of, purchase, acquire, carry, convey, or use a firearm or dangerous ordinance. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer.

 

4/13/2022 – David Phillips, 30-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000165

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a fine of $250.00. The judge ordered: Pay fine by June 1, 2022 Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

4/14/2022 – Charles White, Jr., 18-year-old male from SHREVE – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000375

Convicted of Felonious Assault, F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2903.11(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Pay Restitution: $200.; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Obtain GED or High School Diploma; Intensive Supervision Program; Counseling: anger management; Participate in

Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

4/13/2022 – Clarence Betts, 35-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000459

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Defendant shall abide by all laws, not leave the state of Ohio without permission of the supervising probation officer, and shall not possess, sell, furnish, transfer, dispose of, purchase, acquire, carry, convey, or use a firearm or dangerous ordnance.

 

4/13/2022 – Jimmy Allen Fitzwater, 33-year-old male from WADSWORTH – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000356

Convicted of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them – OVI (.212), F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 4511.19(A)(1)(h). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. The judge ordered: Defendant shall abide by all laws, shall not leave the state of Ohio without permission of the supervising probation officer, and ahall not possess, sell, furnish, transfer, dispose of, purchase, acquire, carry, convey, or use a firearm or dangerous ordnance. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation
