Week of 4/4/22, Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio.
Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 4/4/2022 to 4/11/2022:

4/5/2022 – Larizon Woods, 25 year old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000479
Convicted of Possession of Heroin, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a
term of incarceration of 7 days.

4/6/2022 – Jesse Napier, 38 year old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000537
Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Mark K.
Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year.

4/6/2022 – Jesse Napier, 38 year old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2022 CRC-I 000056
Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K.
Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 1 year. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: PRC Notification Given.

4/6/2022 – Leslie J. Duncan, 50 year old male from AKRON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000139
Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Corey E.
Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

4/6/2022 – Leslie James Duncan, 50 year old male from AKRON – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000138
Convicted of Violating a Protection Order, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.27(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Corey E.
Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 6 months.

4/7/2022 – Kyle Eugene Miller, 28 year old male from APPLE CREEK – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000189
Convicted of Domestic Violence, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2919.25(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to:
Community Control sanctions in the amount of 1 year, 6 months. The judge ordered: Probation Fees; Perform Community
Service: 40 Hours; obey all local, state, federal laws, follow guideleines of adult probation dept., complete intensive supervision program, complete CBT.  Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department.
